Jimmy & Cindy’s Amaaaaazing Wedding – Nelson, New Zealand

When I bought my house in Doubleview just over 5 years ago I had no idea of the extra joy that would come with it.  That joy being in the form of my beautiful, adorable, hilarious neighbour Cindy & her man Jimmy.  Cindy & I are born a day apart (and ah-hem about 11 years in between).  She constantly makes me laugh & brings so much happiness to my life.  We remain close friends and I was even present when Jimmy popped the question, underwater (yep) in a little secluded bay at Rotto during Australia Day weekend last year.

I can’t tell you how amaaaazing it was to be part of their February wedding in the South Island, New Zealand in their adorable home town Nelson.  The small portion
I saw of that breathtaking country has surely left me wanting to explore more.  I had wrist, neck and back ache from constantly picking up my camera.

Cindy & Jimmy wanted a casual, intimate ceremony with closest friends and family present.  People trecked from far and wide to witness their love and all were awe struck by the incredible views from the venue…a retreat high up in the hills owned by family friends.  Mother Nature turned it on and timed her clouds beautifully ….slightly overcast for the ceremony and loads of sun for partayyyy time.  We were surrounded by rolling hills, endless water vistas, mountain goats, mooing cows, sheep of course, buzzing bumble bees, singing cicadas, good vibes, DJ-ing kids (gangnam style an extreeeemely obvious favourite groove), laughter, chatter
and when the sun went down there was the glow of the town lights in the distance.

I am sooo glad I was there and feel blessed that I could capture the day for you.  Love you guys…long time…mwahhhh xxx

Cindy’s beautiful Mum spent countless hours making this LOVE HEART welcome sign plus other crafty decorations like the hay bale covers and bouquets.  Amazing 🙂

A sip of wine before Cind’s heads up the alter.  Wahhh…love it!

The moment of a very unique engagement @ Rotto.  Jimmy secured this note under a rock in the water and asked Cindy to go snorkelling.  She swam down and saw it and was so surprised she sucked her breath in and choked on her snorkel….awwww bless xxxx
