Ohhhh The Light

It is always extremely nerve wracking when a fellow photographer like Onesies & Co asks you to take arty portraits of her beloveds.

But my goodness were we blessed with the most delicious afternoon light and location.  Even the Seagulls helped bring a bit of drama with the already moody sky.

These little souls absolutely killed me with their excited spirits & love for each other.

This will always be one of my most favourite portrait sessions.

Thanks Emilia for putting your trust in me.

South West Magic

This beautiful family.  I’ve watched them blossom from Annie + John getting married, to the birth of their first son + now their second.

And mannnn can these little ones move!  I was bouncing over rocks, sprinting up the beach, running through rock pools all while dangling 2 cameras around
my neck trying to keep up with them.  Needless to say it was an entertaining, rewarding workout hehee!

It is always such an honour to be part of these important, life changing moments + seeing the new magic my clients have created.

Photographed in the stunning surrounds of WA’s South West ~ Dunsborough.

Carly + Chris – Cocos (Keeling) Islands

Where to start with this incredible journey.

Cocos (Keeling) Islands is like nowhere I’ve been before.  The purity + clarity of it’s water seems literally unreal.  It’s raw beauty is a sight to behold with it’s millions of palm trees, abundance of coconuts + numerous tropical beaches (27 islands to choose from to be precise).  We saw magical multi-coloured sunrises, deep pink sunsets + crazy black storm clouds transforming the ocean into an even brighter iridescent turquoise.  And don’t even get me started on the magnificent marine life.
An ocean lover’s paradise!

The entire West Island came together for this wedding.  Like everyone!  It was beautiful to witness.  Everyone pitching in, working for days to set up the very magical wedding it was.  Months of collecting drift wood, shells, flotsam such as the glass bottles used for table decorations + painting signs.  You name it.  When you live where most goods need to be brought over by barge or plane it’s pretty amazing what can be created from what is already there.

Carly was a dreamy island Goddess in her bohemian Spell & The Gyspy Collective dress as were her bridesmaids in their lace gowns from the same label.  And yeah, the boys looked pretty darn tropical + handsome too (oh and muchas gracias for the many hours of additional photoshopping horrendous sunburn outa some of your
faces fellas).

Anyway, as you will see it was a beautiful celebration of the LOVE these two have for each other.  They met working side by side on a mining site in the dry + stinking hot Pilbara surround by red hot dirt!  So it seemed only fitting they would marry surrounded by blues + greens of cool breezy water + dance the night away on white sand with everyone they love.

Jess + Jarrod – Hayman Island

Wow!  Just wow.  This place is a feast for the senses.

What an honour to fly over to the One & Only Resort on Hayman Island in the incredibly picturesque Whitsunday Islands.  A 2 day celebration full of
love, laughter + partying.

Jess, Jarrod, their family + friends kept me in stitches the entire time.  Especially during our post nuptials shoot with their craaaazy bridal party + the
contorting dance floor shenanigans!

These guys know how to party in style that’s for sure.
